Possession order granted but we now need to sell the property?
We had a possession order granted (warranty applied for this week) finally after a year-long battle with a section 8 for rent arrears amounting to over £14,000. A money order has been granted too.
The trouble is we are so behind on all of the letting agent fees as well as having to pay out all the solicitors fees we desperately need to sell the property.
We have been advised by our letting agent that we can sell at auction with the possession order in place, the tenant will still be evicted and we will still get our money from the possession, is this correct?
I don’t want to jump into selling it quickly if there is no chance of getting the rent arrears back?
Many thanks
Louise

Hi Louise,
So what is your question ?
Can you sell with a Non paying tenant in situ ?
I am sure someone will come along.
Get yourself an eviction specialist and get vacant possession.
Change the locks
Do repairs to make the property sellable and cut your loses.
