Passed threshold for planning penalty action?
I have posted before on this topic and I am looking to buy a house that has been converted without planning permission, but it has passed the time threshold for penalty action. ![]()
I am therefore looking for opinions if I need to regularise building control for the conversion for me to separate and sell the properties, and if so whether it’s best to consult a builder or just make the application.
Many thanks
Richard

Hi Richard,
I personally would not do anything without taking your solicitor’s insured advice.

A planning consultant can advise. They can help make applications if the required timescales have passed and evidence has been gathered to regularise the position. B regs I am sure they can assist with. Perhaps a conditional purchase on this getting sorted by the seller?
