Dear Property118

The latest videos you have published on your Property118 TV YouTube channel were very timely for me because I was on the verge of throwing the towel in following the barrage of bad news for property investors in recent years. Those videos might just have changed my mindset completely.

The two interviews I’ve watched so far are all with young entrepreneurs the age of my own children and explain how they have built incredibly successful property businesses over the last five years (and are continuing to grow them), I feel rejuvenated and inspired. In fact, so much so that I felt compelled to write in and share my ‘awakening’ with the rest of the regular Property118 readers.

Each of the videos I watched are around 25 minutes in length. The first was with the winner of the Property Investors Awards 2022 for ‘Property Trader of the Year‘. A young entrepreneur called Saif who, by not being greedy, being ‘street wise’, and having good negotiating skills made over £300,000 by flipping a piece of development land. LINK HERE

I was immediately hooked and went on to watch another. That interview was with two workaholics who reminded me of myself 25 years ago. Again, recent and incredibly inspirational real-life success stories related to property investment. I thought such stories had died around 2008 but clearly I wrong I was! LINK HERE

I must also congratulate Property118 on your selection of interviewer. Being a Northerner myself, what a refreshing change it made to see such a professional interviewer with a Northern accent. Elizabeth is a credit to your organisation, she clearly understands business and property and reminded me of a young Cilla Black. I wish her equal levels of success.

I think you’re onto something very special here. The young property entrepreneurs you’ve been interviewing must be extremely proud of their Awards and very appreciative of the exposure you’re giving to them. I’m hoping these video interviews go viral to encourage you to record and share more of them.

Thank you for the inspiration, these short videos could be a ‘game-changer’ for me.

Now that I’ve got that off my chest I’m off to watch the video with Xuen Meng, two times Property Investors Awards winner – LINK HERE

Wishing you all well

Mal Singh

Thanks for writing in Mal.

We don’t have a “Readers Emails” section but perhaps we should? I hope you don’t mind me sharing this in our Readers Questions section.

Your email pretty much summed up exactly why we decided to become the Official Media Sponsors of the Property Investor Awards and to record this series of videos.

You will be pleased to hear that we will soon be publishing interviews with the six other winners from last year and we also plan to interview several more nominees and finalists this year.

Please help these budding property entrepreneurs by sharing their videos and this article far and wide.

Hear hear!

Despite the anti-landlord narrative, there are many great people out there, landlords and developers, who are contributing very positively to the PRS.

The younger generation of investors (which at 36 I hope I’m still allowed to class myself as) are the key to the future of the PRS. It’s time we started to help, support snd champion them (us).

Thank you for showing the way Mark and the Property 118 team!

Thanks for writing that Mal,

Things are pretty tough right now with , household disposable income getting squeezed, cashflow for businesses getting squeezed and property investors are being punished through regulation.

However, I love reading messages where people feel inspired and rejuvenated when they hear your entrepreneurial journey and it gives them "hope" even during these tough times.

There is always a silver lining if you hang in there and look at things differently.

Dear Mr Singh,
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a positive review regarding our Interviews.
It certainly put a smile on my face.

As a self employed presenter, and a property investor myself, the entrepreneurial journey can be a lonely one. You are your own boss, your own cheerleader, your own critique, and it's very rare for me to receive feedback. To know you are enjoying my interviews really does mean a lot, so thank you for the kind compliments!

We have more interviews coming over the next few weeks, I hope you enjoy them just as much.

Thanks again for taking the time to show your support,
Elizabeth Warburton

I also have an old bicycle. I used to have an expensive car,
That was before I became a landlord!

Let's admit it, David, we got it wrong somewhere along the line! Perhaps it's time we started again. I'm up for it at 72! How about you? Race you on my bike.....................

I feel exactly like that. I’m completely disillusioned and hardly make any money.
