We have in Britain the lowest unemployment since 1953 and Shelter have poorly judged the mood of the Public.
In case Polly Neate has not realised the underlying problem is one of insufficient houses. It is a Government Housing Programme that is needed, not boys playing with Lego!
Polly Neate earns an over £100,000 salary. She could easily be the Guarantor for the couple in Cornwall in the Shelter promotional video.
Polly put the kettle on and leave big decisions to those that understand! Before you can solve any problem you must first understand and accept you have a problem. Ms Neate needs to persuade Central Government to up its House Build Programme to post-war levels. There are four million houses needed.
Shelter has no idea how to go about increasing the number of houses.
Polly Peate was previously Chief Executive of Women’s Aid. The one thing I know much about is trying to help battered wives.
One Kent Council has one of those life size photos of a pretty blond lady one side of the entrance door then another the other side after she had been beaten up by her partner. Do not let it happen the sign said. Take them as tenants and we will sort out the paper work afterwards!
Well six months later the tenancy ended and we had no payments from the Council.
I had to cease taking battered wives.
Shelter needs to get into the real world and focus on what needs to be achieved rather than churn out endless left-wing nonsense.
The biggest cause of homelessness is the use of the Section 21 Notice. Well of course it is! Landlords want their house back to sell, retire and so on.
I do not wish to worry Shelter, but some tenants do not pay their rent.
