Gave notice but now tenant is leaving the property owing rent?
I gave my tenant notice of my intention to sell my property in January 2016 and due notice of the end of the tenancy agreement. She has subsequently not paid February rent and has partially emptied the property of her belongings. ![]()
We have a one month deposit held in the DPS scheme. What steps can I take to recover the rent?
There is a guarantor on the tenancy.
The tenant is not answering her telephone however I do know where she works.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I would make a claim with the DPS for the deposit to cover the last month’s rent.

Contact the guarantor to seek the rent due.
