Tips for keeping the house looking its best

Here are some quick and simple tips to help keep the house and furniture looking its best, follow these to help save money from your damage and cleaning deposit.

It is worth spending a bit now to save a lot later!

Oven: Place a layer of foil in the bottom of the oven to collect spills. Replace when dirty.

Grill pan: Place a layer of foil in the pan so it covers the top edges. This will catch all grease and fat. Replace after each use.

Grills: Once every couple of weeks, soak these overnight in biological washing powder, they will come up as new! Do the same with the gas hob bits.

Shower: After each shower, use a shower descale spray on the shower screen and shower head and ventilate the room to avoid mould.

Toilet: Pop a bloo in the cistern and replace when necessary.

Sofas: Cover these in some throws of your choice, they will look nice and help keep the sofa in good condition and prevent staining.

Carpets: Vacuum regularly to stop ingrained dirt building up in the pile.

If you spill something then treat immediately to avoid staining.

If you don’t think the stain will come out, check out Cleaners in the Property118.com Directory, if you are close to Norwich we will come and take a look.

Beds: If there is not mattress protector for your bed then invest in one, you can pick them up for less than £10. Any stains on the mattress you will be liable for.
