Does anyone anywhere in the guvmunt have the slighest clue what they are doing ?….it would appear not !

Meanwhile in other news, i have just renewed another 12 mth tenancy with a 15% rent increase to bring it in line with market rent, well a few percent above in fact.

Greedy LL ? – Nope, i will receive less than i have done in the past , just going to collect the Alice’s Tenant Tax and pass it on to George !

Was T happy ? , no not really , after i had explained what is going on he was actually very angry and extrememly unlikely to ever vote conservative again , he assures me no one in his family will either because of this !!! He was even less impressed when i postponed the new patio we had begun discussing as George greed will have to be prioritised.

Good article by Victoria Whitlock in the London Evening Standard on Wednesday. Can’t find it on-line, so I’ve just ‘Tweeted her’ to ask for it.
She basically explains that being a LL is not her ‘hobby’, but her job.

I’ve sent it to various journalists at the Telegraph, Guardian, Mail, Express, Mirror and Times. A load of them seem to be off work! It would be good if others find the time to do this – it doesn’t take long – just tell them that this is an important article which they might like to do a piece on and give them the link.

We best not let them get away with institutions will make up the shortfall and cite the study from (i think )2008/9/10 that said smaller landlords in a nut shell are better.. I never get my hopes up but Osborne may have overreached himself here. Perhaps a real conservative will get the reins? Failing that all LL could not do worse if we voted UKIP.(perhaps somewhat with more contacts than I could contact them?)

PS: I watched the parliment channel where a tory MP said to the effect people were safe guarding their retirment with property was not a bad thing. The good thing such as it is was the MP was ‘NOT’ a landlord himself unlike a good chunk of tory mps.
