Hi Shakeel
I also will no longer buy the Times on Friday and Sunday but am now also a Telegraph person!! We need to support the papers who give the facts as they are.
Also will be cancelling my NLA membership – as they have ignored my requests to get all their members aware of the repercussions of this new mad proposal.

Awesome job from Mark, Connie, Ros, John and finally Jerry.
Connie’s, article in Telegraph was spectacular, the only one critique I would consider to make is that, size of Connie’s portfolio is unlikely to make an impact on readers mind, when we are talking about £3000 loss (not knocking it Connie) when comparing it with bigger landlords such as Mark and Ros.
Figures tend to grab readers attention, unless we mention, £40-£50K losses a year in Tax despite making no profits it is unlikely to make an impact! (My opinion).

I disagree, we have to appeal to the masses. There are far more landlords like Connie than there are like me.

Alright Mark, I suppose you have a good point. Having studied psychology, I am aware that human mind reads crucial things such as figures and ignores rest to fully digest the impact unless it is supported by pictorial or mathematical evidence!
Rest of info is generally skipped!

So in Connie’s article, readers would have read the article but would have cared to remember only financial impact of £3000.
Sympathy is immediately lost, when readers will take in account, the rise in property prices, which then becomes pittans (£3K).

Agree with Mark & it was a good decision to focus on Connie.
Connie & her family are the classic example of the hard working ethos of immigrants, providing for themselves & not relying on the state, is something that I applaud.
If a large landlord was featured., The politics of envy would have entered the equation & this would have become self defeating.
