Hi DSR In 2013 I had same. Tenants and Virgin Media wanted me to sign one of these wayleave forms. I was sceptical but (rightly or wrongly) I ended up signing it. I have heard nothing further or had any...

Thanks David. Yes that’s right, I didn’t say 2 households form an HMO. But apologies Yvonne, my wording was perhaps a little misleading. Re the Estoppel, yes you are correct in my case it didn’t go to court / FtT,...
With regards to ‘additional’ HMO licensing, the council officials I’ve spoken to were very clear on what they choose to define as separate households (ie 2 unrelated tenants are 2 households etc regardless of whether they had been living cohesively...
Yes entirely depends on where Pamela’s property is. Where my properties are (few London boroughs), 3 ‘households’ in a 2 bed flat is undoubtedly an ‘additional’ HMO requiring a license.

Reply to the comment left by Luke Roxberg at 28/02/2020 - 13:13AFAIK Brent’s ‘selective’ scheme was selective and *not* borough wide, unlike their ‘additional’ licensing scheme, which most certainly was (and is) borough wide. I’m hoping that someone can prove...
Unless anyone can advise otherwise, although the ‘selective’ licensing scheme may or may not be renewed, Brent’s borough wide ‘additional’ HMO scheme which has recently been renewed for another 5 years is still valid? To give an example, even a...
