Would cellar flood if Tanking compromised by drainage system?
Would installing a drain and pump system into a tanked cellar to solve minor damp and condensation problems risk flooding? ![]()
The property is at the bottom of a hill on land with a variable water table and occasional standing water a little lower down, and has flooded in the past, although not since the work done by a previous owner.
And would a drain survey be needed for BS8021 compliance?
Many thanks for your help

i cant see why it would if a non-return valve on the drainage was incorporated. but surely a better solution would be heating, humidistat controlled ventilation and perhaps a dehumidifier. im guessing it will be problematic to resolve the water seepage.
