How to become an LPA Receiver
This is what you have to do to become an LPA Receiver as copied from the IPA website:![]()
Thinking of Becoming a Registered Property Receiver?
Application for scheme membership is generally by examination, for which a fee is payable, comprising…
– experience certification; through a declaration within the exam application form
– a written paper; 20 questions with multiple choice answers plus 2 (of 3) essay style questions
– preparation of a ‘critical analysis’ of 1 case with which the applicant is familiar, and
– a peer interview, including a case presentation
Scary isn’t it? That’s all LPA Receivers have to do to ‘qualify’ to take full control of your business, finances and ultimately… your life.
LPA Receivers are totally unregulated and they operate under the radar of ALL authority. When they are appointed by your bank, they become your agent but you have no control over what they do. Your mortgages are not ‘frozen’ and the LPA Receivers can and do, increase your mortgages by applying to your bank for additional funds.
My ‘alleged’ (still disputed) £18,500 arrears were converted to a £328,000 debt by LPA Receivers with the loss of my business, my home and my money and I am not an isolated case. There are thousands of victims who have just rolled over but I can’t.
Please look again above, at all you need to do to become an LPA Receiver, admittedly, you might already have a professional qualification eg surveyor but does that really give you the right to control another persons life and finances?
