Message from Mark Alexander
I am going to be out of the country for the rest of this month as I’m getting married on a beach in Florida and staying in the area for our honeymoon.
Before I go away I wanted to give you an update on The GOOD Landlords Campaign.
I am delighted to report that some of the first member Profiles are already appearing on page one of Google Searches, not just on Property118 but on other prominent websites too. You can check this out for yourself, more details below.
We have also made the joining process far slicker.
This week I have been networking with many of the Centres of Influence in the Private Rented Sector. I have had meetings and telephone conversations with several senior executives of regulators, trade associations and housing charities to canvass their support for The GOOD Landlords Campaign. Expect to see Spotlight profiles and commentary from them in our Newsletters over the next few weeks. In these articles many Centres of Influence will be sharing their views about the challenges and opportunities in the Private Rented Sector as well as their support for The GOOD Landlords Campaign.
If you are not already a member of The GOOD Landlords Campaign you can join here. There is no ongoing membership fee, just a minimum one off donation of £50.
If you want to try a few Google searches yourself to find other members who’s profile pages have already been ranked on page one of Google try these:-
- Mal Collum Merseyside
- Fiona Macaskill UWE Houses Bristol
- Richard Player Thetford
- Alan Loughlin Warrington
- Bob Leydon Letings Canterbury
- Andrea Peacock Ivybridge Devon

Hi Mark,
I think the The GOOD Landlords Campaign is great, and having member profiles helps landlords to network, im a landlord and an SEO so i spend time with websites to ensure they are found on google… Just checked a few of the names you mentioned and they are surely appearing on page one, but for obvious reasons they arent competitive keywords as they are firstly unique (are name based) and secondly they are long tail keywords, i would personally target specifically on company name rather than name.
Thats just my views of course!
keep up the great work, enjoy reading your articles.

PS the real purpose for the SEO is for tenants to be able to check out claims of membership

To right I’m shouting, GOOD Landlords need to shot to be over over all the “Rougue Landlords” campaigns.
