The video above explains the Smart Property Company structure in detail. This is the same video your clients will be able to watch when you introduce them to us. Below the video is our Introducer Registration Form, which should take you less than a minute to complete. You will then receive an email template which you can copy, paste and send to your landlord clients with a link to a video explaining how the structures we recommend work in detail.
The video also explains that we usually charge £400 for tax planning consultations, but we are happy to waive this for your clients if they use your unique Introducer website link. This also helps us to identity clients you have referred to us.
When your clients first click your Introducer link a cookie is left on their device. If your client instructs us within six months, whether via your link or not, our systems will know that you are the referral source and we will pay you the £2,000 + VAT commission when they pay for the implementation of their Smart Property Company structure.
The service we provide
The following quote from case law dates back to 1936.
|“Every man is entitled, if he can, to order his affairs so that the tax attaching under the appropriate Acts is less than it otherwise would be. If he succeeds in ordering them so as to secure this result, then, however unappreciative the Commissioners of Inland Revenue or his fellow tax-payers may be of his ingenuity, he cannot be compelled to pay an increased tax.” - Lord Tomlin|
For the avoidance of any doubt, we do not recommend ‘tax avoidance schemes’ which seek to abuse the tax system, or could fall foul of HMRC’s General Anti Abuse Rules - ‘GAAR legislation’. There are plenty of perfectly legitimate methods to structure property rental businesses to optimise both tax and commercial positioning, and it is those structures we stick to recommending.
Due diligence and risk
Advice to your clients always comes from a Barrister-At-Law who is qualified, experienced and insured to adopt recommendations from Property118 Limited as their own professional advice. Our barristers carry the maximum level of Bar Mutual Professional Indemnity Insurance of £2,500,000 per claim.
