When did you last take your Grandchildren to Disneyland or Lapland To See The REAL Santa?

When did you last create memories by taking your entire family on holiday?

Most landlords I speak to were unlikely ever to experience that kind of moment, or to help with their grandchildren’s education, or to see their children’s faces light up when a mortgage deposit changes their lives, until we discussed their options and opportunities. It’s too late to enjoy creating lasting memories when you’re dead!

The question is: why do so many landlords fall into this trap?.

In so many cases, it isn’t greed. It’s a habit.

The excitement of building a successful rental property business gradually transitions from a stepping stone to a treadmill, and the years disappear in the noise.

They tell themselves they’re building a legacy, but what good is a legacy if you never get to enjoy it with the people you built it for?

The truth is that many landlords think they’ve built their own financial freedom, but actually forgotten what freedom really feels like.

You don’t have to wait for your Will to make a difference. If you are asset-rich and cash poor you may well be in a position to restructure your affairs to start creating memories now, paying for family holidays, supporting education, helping your children buy homes, or simply freeing up time to be with them. Those are the things your family will remember long after you’re gone.

Lasting memories outlive money. They are the true measure of success.

What stops so many people from making the change is fear. Fear of cost, tax, of getting it wrong, of losing control. Yet most of that fear comes from not knowing what’s possible.

That’s where Property118 comes in. We help landlords simplify their affairs, restructure sensibly, and unlock the ability to live well now while still protecting the future.

Legacy planning isn’t just about what happens when you die. It’s about making sure you’ve really lived.

So perhaps the better question is this:

When will you start making memories that last?

If the answer is “soon”, we can help you get there.

It is important to create memories for grandchildren.
I don’t like all the tacky Christmas stuff children expect so I buy all of my children and grandchildren annual passes for our local theme park. I often go along with some of them to ride the roller coasters and buy ice-cream.
I’ve arranged a 3 night break to Efteling theme park in Holland for all 20 of us a couple of times over the last few years. It’s been a great experience and a real opportunity for all the grandchildren to spend time together.
Hopefully those are the things my grandchildren will remember long after I’m gone.

That’s me, created a trap for myself.
Biggest thing I tell my Grandkid at weekend is
I’ve got to go back in office now.
Anyone there thinking of packing up and selling all their houses, think about it and start doing it 5 years before u think u want to pack up. Selling houses is not what it was 20 years ago. You will be tortured by paperwork and questions.

That’s me too! What the heck am I doing? I need to get off the treadmill. I’ve made a start:
    No 1. Sold
    No 2. Completes tomorrow
    No 3. Got a buyer
No 4. Just gone on the market
    No 5 & 6. Being renovated
I’ll deal with all the others later.
I’ve had my fill of property – but need to think where to put the proceeds of the sales (after hmrc have had their cut)
