The Victoria Derbyshire Programme on BBC Two and BBC News is looking at the ongoing issue of tenants and landlords.

They are particularly keen to hear from readers if you are a landlord in the UK who has had a problematic tenant.

Of most interest is a landlord who is currently in a serious dispute with a tenant who is still in their property.

If you have a story to tell, please could you get in touch with Robert Coxwell on the Derbyshire programme as soon as possible: [email protected]

Please just include a short paragraph of the story in your email with your location and contact details.

No one would disagree that the issue of rogue tenants AND rogue landlords isn’t serious, but the vast majority of private landlords and tenants are decent people who do their very best to fulfill their responsibilities and obligations.

While rogue tenants and landlords make for compelling viewing, the housing crisis itself and the scapegoating of private landlords, while perhaps making for less dramatic viewing for the general public, are issues that urgently need addressing directly from an objective, impartial, non politicised perspective. I hope this report will deliver on this.

Not a chance.

The article will go like this….

1. Show a film piece
2. Have a landlord spokesman from the RLA, who is shit at TV interviews.
3. Have 3 opposition spokesmen on, from Shelter, Greens and Labour
4. Ask the question “Landlords are they maligned or just “Greedy Bastards”?
5. Discuss
6. That’s all we have time for,

Next up,

I hate to say it, but I believe your right. Come on BBC, prove this depressing assessment wrong….
