Hi, 20 years ago I bought a very small house on buy to let. I was always a good landlord via a lettings agency.
I then decided to go without the agency and I’m now trying to evict my tenant but unsuccessfully. The council has closed the case and has told my tenant to stay put – on the grounds of some minor paperwork details.
Even though the tenant is not looking after my property.
A Section 21 was given and council said it was legal but due to the tenancy agreement being lost … case closed.
What do I do now?
Thank you,
Tracey

Have have quite a few houses…
I DON’T repair gas problems
I don’t do electric problems
Most Water problems I pass to a plumber
I leave it to the experts…
Eviction. I don’t do legal. I farm it out to a professional

If the council closed the case due to missing paperwork, you might want to get advice from a lawyer who deals with landlord issues. They can help you figure out what to do next. You could also look into mediation to see if you can reach an agreement with your tenant.

Might be the type of tenants that Landlords have problems with !
