More than 1,000 of our readers have now completed our Landlords Poll and we hope to release the full survey results between Christmas and the New Year.
In the meantime we have been looking through the suggestions you have made and begun acting upon them.
You may have already noticed quite a few changes.
The most popular request was to add a prominent Search to enable you to find articles previously published on Property118 simply by typing in a keyword or phrase. This has now been implemented and the search appears in the top right corner of our page header.
We have also changed the Navigation of the website to make things easier for you to find by grouping information into more obvious categories. It will no doubt take a bit of getting used to but we have tried to make everything as intuitive as possible. For example, Recent Comments and Discussions can now be found under the Articles tab. New sections have been added for the main topics that our readers are interested in, i.e. Finance, Lettings, Insurance, Tax, Legal, Property For Sale and Advice.
The other big one, which came up a lot in your feedback, was the flip side of the coin to the good landlords campaign. Many of you requested a service which is easy to sign up to in order to report or receive reports of rogue tenants in your area, i.e. people looking to rent who you wouldn’t want to let to if they were the last people on earth because they’ve not paid their last landlord, trashed a property or have an anti social lifestyle. There are companies we know of providing such services and we will be talking to them about the feedback we have been receiving. Apparently, many of you have not signed up with these companies because their information requirements to join are too personal and too cumbersome to complete. Watch this space on that one!
Also regarding The Good Landlords Campaign were requests for tenants to be able to add testimonials to Good Landlords Profile Pages without the need to display their email address and for landlords to be able to add to their profiles. This is already possible, tenants can simply add comments. We do ask for their email addresses for verification purposes but we don’t publish them. We also provide an opportunity for you to subscribe to all comments left on your Profile Page and, subject to your request, we will remove comments left if you are unhappy with them. If you already have a Good Landlords Profile Page and wish to add to it or make amendments we will do this for you free of charge. Simply drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know what you would like to add or amend. Alternatively you can call us on 01603 489 118. If you would like to create a Good Landlords Profile Page please click here for further information.
If you have already completed our Landlords Survey but would like to offer further suggestions please feel free to do so in the comment section below.
