I recently began investing in property after I received a large inheritance and I have some friends who are very successful property investors in the North who have found me 2 properties so far.
I am wanting to grow my portfolio quickly and begin sourcing for myself and have read that it is much better to learn on the job than do courses.
My concern is that I have no building or construction knowledge and so it is difficult for me to judge the condition or approx refurb costs of a property I may view. What do you recommend? Is there a course I can do to learn more about construction so I can make the right judgement? Or should I build a relationship with a trusted builder who can come to viewings with me and help me make the decision?
Thank you in advance!
