Hello, tenants were due to vacate the property this weekend. However, the tenants have told the management agency that they have been advised by the local authority to stay put as they are a couple with a young child.
Where do I stand on this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Sheila

Do you have a solicitor or have you sought any legal advice as evidently you need to.
I would also suggest that you familiarize yourself with what your statutory/ legal responsibilities and rights are as a Landlord.
There are far too many people who simply purchased BTL properties without finding out what these legal duties as a Landlord are and consequently fall foul of the law.

I have a solicitor and an estate agent so have complied with all the legal stuff but when a tenant cuts you off and doesn’t pay rent its very difficult, it will just go to court and then lies will just come out to drag it on
