Should landlords have the right to refuse DSS tenants?10:43 AM, 20th May 2019

I am a regular reader of Property118 Newsletters and I also find the discussion forums very informative.
Last Friday, after reading an article on Property118, I contacted LettingSupermarket.com regarding their 4% letting and management fees offering. At first it appeared too good to be true and I was expecting there to be a catch. Other ARLA agents in my area charge two or three times as much for the same service.
I spoke to a gentleman called Chris Sheldon, whom I have since learned is the Managing Director. He asked me to email him pictures of the property, which I did immediately.
He called me back to ask a few more questions and within two minutes the property was not only uploaded onto Rightmove but we had also received our first enquiry.
The agent from LettingSupermarket.com then met the prospective tenant at the property just 18 minutes later and the deal was done, subject to referencing of course.
Best of all there was no catch; no extra charges to me for viewings, inventory, deposit protection, tenancy agreement, referencing or anything else for that matter. The 4% management fee was all inclusive. [editors note – subject to VAT being added obviously]
I’m just waiting for the referencing to go through but quite frankly I am amazed and extremely impressed.
I will certainly be trying more of the recommended suppliers promoted by Property118 so THANK YOU!
