Excess protection for escape of water claims in block of flats?

Dear All, I am reaching out to inquire if anyone is aware of insurance companies in the UK that offer an excess protection policy specifically for Escape of Water (EOW) claims under a building’s insurance policy for a block of leasehold flats. This may have to be a separate policy to the building insurance one.

I understand that such a policy may only be valid for a limited number of claims per year (e.g., two or three), but it could provide the leaseholders with peace of mind, knowing that the excess is covered in case of unexpected water damage.

If anyone has any leads or experience with this type of coverage, please do share.

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Melody
