Calling Landlords Agents and Tenants In Particular
BBC Radio 4 current affairs programme “You and Yours” are planning on more coverage of Mr Osborne’s attack on the private rented sector and the effects of Clause 24 and the extra 3% SDLT.
They urgently want to speak to tenants that have been served notice due to the tax effects and landlords selling up, or seen significant rent rises. Whilst the supporters of the tax changes (incorrectly) believe that they will help FTB’s get on the market, there are few tenants speaking out in regard to how they will lose out in financial or in social terms.
If you can put such tenants in touch with the researchers please, please do so. The programme can be emailed at [email protected] or you can phone at 0161 836 1346.
Please also spread the word with your contacts so that we can help the BBC talk to tenants affected by Mr O.
Many thanks
John
