Hi guys, I don’t know if this is the best place to share this information but since it’s a forum for landlords I just thought I’d say this here,

I’m not sure if many people are aware of the fact that there’s an Australian lawyer called Jordan van berg who has been encouraging people to break into and squat in vacant properties. His tiktok account has over 200k followers and at first he was just concentrating on vacant properties in Australia but now he has taken things further by trying to reach out to people in the US and UK. He is sharing the locations of these vacant properties publicly and encouraging people to break into them and essentially destroy other people’s property.
There are news articles online about this guy and his clearly objectionable antics and I wanted to warn as many landlords and homeowners about him.
    Kind regards.

You have to agree with most of what he says, and is a pretty good presenter too.

Khan is a disaster for london.

He thinks that all rents should the same as social rents and the other bright idea that he came up with is that if they cannot be social rents then they should be based on the average wage in the area and presumably he means no more than one third of the average income.
In an expensive area like most of London how do these sums add up!

He should be jailed for inciting crime.

Excellently articulated and totally true. I want out of London BTL but am reluctant to evict my good long term existing tenants.

You missed however, new EPC requirements.. I have been quoted enormous figures of up to 14k to upgrade to C… And to save my tenants less than £350 a year? I would rather give my tenants a £450 rent reduction..
