Couldn't agree more - as you can probably tell from my websites address. Harness the power of social media and the internet to advertise your business/properties or you're missing a trick. If you don't have a website for your business you're missing out on potentially thousands of leads.

Once your websites live be sure to experiment with google adwords; the most direct form of advertising you could hope for. You're only charged when someone actively seeking your service clicks through to your webpage, it doesn't get much better than that. Long gone are the days of printing out 5000 leaflets, 4000 of which are put straight in the bin. We just signed a group up that found us through googleads, their click cost us £0.34, the post dated cheques I just collected cover the mortgage thrice over for the next 12 months. And you dont need to be a techno genius, get a local PC company/web designer to walk you through it for a few hours and it will pay dividends in the long run.

And of course build your 'natural' search listing by having other businesses in a similar field link to your website, like property118 for example =)
