Top 10 cities searched by prospective tenants
Rightmove have released figures for the most popular cities that prospective tenants search for new homes to rent in 2017.
Number 1 searched city was Bristol
Followed by:
2. Birmingham
3. Leeds
4. Manchester
5. Nottingham
6. Liverpool
7. Glasgow
8. Cambridge
9. Bournemouth
10. Sheffield
Bristol was also the number one city search in 2017 for property purchaser followed by York, Norwich, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Birmingham, Cambridge, Bournemouth, Manchester and Nottingham.
These figures exclude Greater London.

Not sure I understand this article? Is this about new builds, or rentals as a whole? Is it about the as a % of the population of each conurbation, or just the total number of searches?
If it’s the total number of searches, I guess the question is: so what? Surely it follows a similar pattern to the population of each City?
