Your example is incorrect as the interest is no longer an allowable expense. Therefore the taxable profit here is £90k and the tax thereon will be reduced by 20% tax relief on the interest.

If you mean you have moved out of what was your main home to live in the new property then you need to make an election for capital tax purposes to have this treated as your main residence. You have two years from acquisition to do this.

It is the 'quality' of your residence that would come under scrutiny in the event of an enquiry by HMRC. Stamp duty on transfers between spouses

If a property is transferred to spouse, or into or out of joint names, and the spouse to whom the property is transferred takes over responsibility for the mortgage, the mortgage debt is treated as consideration for the transfer and is liable to SDLT.
