The Leasehold Advisory Service (LEASE) has launched the first phase of a major digital refresh by rolling out a redesigned website.
It now features a Lease Length Checker which is aimed at giving leaseholders quicker access to clear, practical guidance.
The update marks the opening stage of a wider programme of service improvements, with further online tools and AI-supported features planned.
LEASE said the changes are designed to make free, impartial advice easier to find and simpler to use.
The organisation’s chairman, Martin Boyd, said: “This digital refresh is the first visible step in a much wider transformation of LEASE.
“We are reshaping how the service works, how our advice is delivered and how people interact with us, so leaseholders can get clear, practical support more quickly and easily and more people know about us and how we can help them.”
He added: “The launch lays the foundations for further change, with new tools, improved services and smarter use of technology to follow as we continue to modernise the service for the long term.”
Central to the relaunch is the Lease Length Checker, a free digital tool that allows users to enter a postcode and instantly view key details.
These include the remaining term on a lease, the previous price paid and an indication of whether action might be needed.
Alongside the new tool, large parts of the site’s guidance have been rewritten in plain English.
LEASE said the aim was to break down complex leasehold issues for consumers and professionals who rely on its material.
The organisation’s website now loads more quickly and is more reliable across mobile phones, tablets and desktop computers.
Accessibility has also been strengthened to better support people using assistive technologies.
Further developments are already planned and over the coming months, LEASE will add new and enhanced tools to help users deal with common leasehold problems.
A future phase will introduce AI-supported features designed to improve on-site navigation and guide visitors to relevant information more efficiently.
Every day, landlords who want to influence policy and share real-world experience add their voice here. Your perspective helps keep the debate balanced.
