Can I upgrade to business membership without monthly fees?

I can see the benefits of upgrading to business membership as it makes a lot of sense to include a link back to my inventory website and also to add my telephone number and email address so that members who follow one of my comments back to my member profile can get in touch should they want to do that. However, I don’t want to pay a monthly subscription. It’s not the money, £4.99 is neither here nor there, I just don’t want the accounting headache of it.

Is there any way I could just pay a lump sum?

Thanks

Hi Sian

Lump sum payment is something we had not previously considered, good point though.

There is a way to do it, albeit a bit of a "workaround" at the moment.

When you sponsor The GOOD Landlords Campaign you get a bio and a sponsors badge on your profile. You can add all of your contact details into your bio. I've seen a few others do this, it hadn't occurred to me that it might be for this reason.

The bio allows html code so you can add a link to your website there. If you can't write html, just email us and we will do it for you until we can come up with a longer term solution - mark@property118.com

There is a minimum donation to sponsor The GOOD Landlords Campaign of £50, it is a one off donation. One way to look at that is that it's cheaper than a years subscription to a business member profile so I suspect a lot of small businesses might prefer that option. You can become a GOOD Landlords Campaign sponsor by editing your profile and then clicking on the big blue button towards the bottom of the screen.

As you rightly point out, the real benefit of sharing your contact details comes as you add more comments, especially if you offer a support service to landlords and letting agents as you do. This is because more people will read what you have to say and if they are interested they will be more likely to click through to your member profile in order to find your contact details and to get in touch 🙂
