Agent Rainmaker has set a new benchmark after raising £102,250 for Promise Dreams, the highest total the charity has ever received from a single event.
The sum was generated at Agent Rainmaker Live, which took place in London recently and attracted hundreds of letting agency owners from around the country.
The two-day gathering celebrated business growth within the sector, yet the charity auction quickly became the standout moment.
The amount raised will fund the dreams of 42 seriously or terminally ill children, helping to provide experiences and support that many families would otherwise struggle to access.
Sally Lawson, the founder of the letting agency coaching business, said: “All of the Agent Rainmaker events we host are designed to help letting agency owners build better, more efficient and more profitable businesses.
“The fact that the agents in the room at this year’s event raised over £100,000, compared to £74,000 last year and £40,000 the year before, is astounding, and testament to how when we work together and give our all, we can achieve even greater things to help others.”
The manager of Promise Dreams, Nikki Yeomans, said: “We’re in utter disbelief at the amount raised.
“Asking people to donate when things are tough for so many is never easy, yet the generosity of everyone at Agent Rainmaker continues to amaze us.”
She added: “The money will make such a difference to the lives of 42 children and their families who are currently waiting for their wishes to come true.”
“A huge and heartfelt thank you to Sally and the Agent Rainmaker team for once again putting on an incredible event and for choosing us as their charity of choice.
“Their fundraising efforts make up around a third of our total donations, and over the last eight years have created lasting memories for families.”
Although the charity operates in Wolverhampton, it accepts nominations from children and families across the UK.
Currently waiting for their wishes to come true is Rylan, who wants a birthday party complete with indoor fireworks and superheroes.
There’s also Kayden, whose wish is to fly in an airplane, which Promise Dreams is arranging between London and Newcastle.
And Freya, whose dream is to meet the princesses at Disney on Ice.
Every day, landlords who want to influence policy and share real-world experience add their voice here. Your perspective helps keep the debate balanced.
