Washing Machine Recall

Whirlpool have again recalled some makes and models of Hotpoint/ Indesit/whirlpool washing machines and have added further models to the list of recalls.

We would suggest that all landlords advise their tenants to do a quick check of their installed appliance following the outlined process below to see if it is one of the makes and models being re-called.

If the appliance DOES fall into the specific make and models identified please either contact Whirlpool on 0800 316 1442 or via their website https://washingmachinerecall.whirlpool.co.uk/ so that they can arrange a Health and Safety check to check whether the appliance is safe.

Follow the below simple steps to check your appliance:

The Washing Machine Brand should be quite visible on the front of the appliance, please remember only Hotpoint/ Indesit/whirlpool are affected,  If your appliance is not one of these there is no need for you to worry.

If it is one of the following: Hotpoint/ Indesit/whirlpool check your model number and check whether it is one of the  effected machines by checking on  https://washingmachinerecall.whirlpool.co.uk/. If your model is not listed your appliance is not effected. If it is listed, please contact whirlpool;

The model number is located on a sticker usually inside the door however in some cases it may be to the rear of the appliance.
