CGT - I "want" to pay, but how?

Houses in Multiple Occupation - a legal bombshell in the making

We have had mandatory HMO licensing in Glasgow for over 20 years, none of this is new to many cities in Glasgow. What is frustrating is the implementation of the fees changes by each council. Glasgow is £953 for a renewal every 3 years, £1800 for a new one which is payable if you miss your renewal by 1 day. Aberdeen is £800 and Edinburgh is dependent on how many people the HMO will cover. If the licensing is implemented elsewhere the costs should be the same no matter where the property is as the rules are the same.... Read More

Council forcing new front doors onto leaseholders of ex-council flats

We have had HMO licence requirements here in Glasgow since the mid 90's and all front doors have to comply with fire regulations intumescent strip, openable without a key from the inside. We have listed buildings within conservation areas, the doors can all be adjusted to comply and replacement was not necessary.... Read More
