Change to Uk Law for Serviced Accommodation?

There was a consultation on short lets and in particular AIrBNB properties requiring planning permission to let out. I believe that planning permission will require that they are only allowed for main door properties and not tenement style properties. Check Scottish Association for Landlords.... Read More

We have had mandatory HMO licensing in Glasgow for over 20 years, none of this is new to many cities in Glasgow. What is frustrating is the implementation of the fees changes by each council. Glasgow is £953 for a renewal every 3 years, £1800 for a new one which is payable if you miss your renewal by 1 day. Aberdeen is £800 and Edinburgh is dependent on how many people the HMO will cover. If the licensing is implemented elsewhere the costs should be the same no matter where the property is as the rules are the same.... Read More
