Hello All,

I just want to say "Thank you" for your valuable advice. We were going to follow Mark's counsel and ring our bank today, when someone from the portal called and asked us to check our bank account. The money had been refunded in full. The explanation was that it took them time to sort things out with the Direct Debit provider.

London Buy to Let still makes sense

Hello Mark,

We have beautiful two bedrooms in Beckenham, a prestigious area of beautiful Bromley, London. The average prices for these flats are £389,000. Would you be able to help out with good mortgages for these properties, like the one you did in Edmonton?

Also, how can we access the properties you said are available in the N18 and N9 postcodes? They will be excellent buys for some of our clients.

Your office address is fine. All that is required is an address for service, which must be valid -that is, the landlord can get notices/letters, etc by it.... Read More

Tenant only gave 5 days notice


Unless the RDD was changed, you owe them a refund of 3rd April - 15th April rent -not up to two weeks though.

As has been mentioned, they can move out any time before 3rd April without giving you notice -unless there is a contrary stipulation in the contract. But, they must pay rent for all the period of the tenancy, irrespective of when they move out before the end of the tenancy.... Read More
