New Tax Strategy For Accidental Landlords

Great idea Mark
Very useful for those looking to upsize and could be good tax planning for the BTL also if the owner is a higher tax rate payer so it's a two birds with one stone solution.
If anyone wants to utilise this strategy please do get in touch with me regarding arranging the LTD company and sourcing the most cost effective and suitable finance options.... Read More

BTL Ltd company Mortgage and source of Refurb properties

Hi Rupang

As with previous comments this is based upon the limited info provided so should not be acted upon but worth considering, given that your partner is currently not earning and when she will be earning will be a basic rate tax payer one option would be to purchase the investment/s as tenant in common 99% in your wife's name and 1% in your name. This will enable you to obtain the mortgage on that back of your income but for tax purposes income will go majority to your wife which may avoid the recent tax changes so long as the property income doesn't push her into the higher tax bracket. Happy to discuss further.

Regarding Property Sourcing, that is a key area of expertise for my company (Nova Financial) and I would be happy to discuss this with you in more detail. Please contact me by clicking my profile to discuss further.... Read More

Buy to let income essential for many retirees

Although it is difficult to unscramble an egg for those with existing portfolios especially when their strategy was to structure their portfolio with debt, a potential solution can be to sell part of the portfolio and pay down part or all of the debt. Others that haven't yet invested but require income can benefit from higher yielding property assets like serviced accommodation or purpose built student accommodation. For those that are interested in exploring their options please get in touch and I would be happy to have a discussion regarding the most suitable retirement phase high yielding investments....
