Most of my tenants have said they can’t pay rent - I’m stressed?

My tenant called me and said I have to claim three months rent from HMRC. She is off work and no wages coming. She applied for universal credit and called HMRC too.
I replied this is too early to say. Who is claiming and who is paying whom.

Am I wrong? Or just nieve?

Management companies are big rip off.... They change one light bulb and invoice for £80.And so on..& ON ..Thank God I have never ever bought any lease hold property.
My son got his own lease hold flat , He tried to get some answers from management company .They never reply in time nor repair and maintain property regularly and Yearly charges invoice come 3 month in advance some case. BE AWARE Charges going up every year too.
AS many said please try to get Block Insurance policy notes .IF Company have not insured block WHY they charge you & why you pay for their service.

Furniture left in house by tenant and now asking for it back !

you are right,Please always get signed by tenants ,that if you not collect in 7/10/15 ...working days furniture/personal belongings will be disposed.And do so.even if you have kept ,never say you got few items.And refuse for any payment.I am landlord for 28 years and had all problems and learnt my lessons from that.... How long do I have before I'm court evicted and homeless?

Hello, Be aware of Housing benefits tenants.Landlords always in trouble with council and rehousing tenants.I had similar case tenant did not paid rent .Gone in arrears and housing always advised not to leave ,even court order placed.After all we have to evict by bailiff's order then ,housing still advised them to ask for 14 days to find another accommodation.This is always the case .Landlords be Aware!!
They will delay and delay delay .many time they will not assist tenants too.They do not care about tenants nor Landlords.If anyone lucky good luck.... Read More
