Would two baths and two beds give a better return?

You need to look at the likely renters and future buyers. If it's professionals sharing a house, then 2 big beds and 2 baths/ensuites probably works best, as no one will want the tiny bedroom and not sharing a bathroom is a plus. Labour want to tell you when and how much to sell for

He also wants to take 10% of the shares of companies and give them to their employees, so he'll crash the stock market and ruin pensions as well. Might be time to move any investments into overseas stocks...
Not sure what happens when those employees sell their shares back on the market - does he just keep stealing shares up to 10%? Luckily he'll run out of other people's money before he could do half of what he wants to... Read More

Salford council launch social letting agency

We have some properties in Salford, so thought I'd ask the council about this non-profit service they're offering. Bog standard management is 10%+VAT. If you want the rent guarantee (which I suspect is just the usual rent guarantee insurance, but for tenants who wouldn't pass the tests) it's 15+VAT. They do include a repairs service, but it sounds more like finding a tradesman rather than them paying the costs.

Proposal to make BTL a time limited offer - Feedback request

I think it's an excellent idea - it would encourage lots of landlords to sell up, thus reducing the competition, meaning less voids for me and potentially higher rents going forwards, plus it would cause a dip in house prices now with less first time buyers about, so I'd have less competition for the houses I'm trying to buy.
