General Election 8th June - Who on earth do landlords vote for?

Reply to the comment left by "Gary Dully" at "09/06/2017 - 21:54":

There we are, all this 'vote for someone else' has created chaos with the EU who are claiming she lost (I'm listening to the news in France). Has that helped the country ?

People on this blog have voted against the Tories for a personal PRS view despite that the other parties would still hit us, perhaps even harder !

So Corbyn is claiming he won despite the facts, we could never trust him.

Young people came out to vote, a little too late and without the experience of living under the hard left.
How do they think he was going to pay for his stupid policies, free degrees, nationalisation, etc
By raising THEIR taxes !

I still have high blood pressure....... Read More

General Election 8th June - Who on earth do landlords vote for?

Rob,
I completely agree, if we vote for ANY party other than the Tories we will get Corbyn.
If we do he'll give the PRS an absolute caning, perhaps nationalise us, better the devil we know.
AND he'll wreck the UK.
We have to continue the fight after the election and use the Irish example more.

Corbyn is a communist at heart, he will make a complete mess of BREXIT , Junker will be delighted to bully him and we'll be deserted. Going back cap-in-hand would be the worst thing we could do.

I'm going to stop following blog this until after June 8th because some of the thoughtless comments have been sending my BP sky high.

Like the comment about disabled benefits...the problem is the DWP civil servants who are reducing the numbers by getting genuine cases off the books rather than the scroungers. Disabled are helped because they can't help themselves.... Read More

Hi NW Landlord,
I discussed incorporation with my accountant and his advice was that it is not a financially viable unless you have more than 10 properties and at 7 we are a long way from that, Not possible to increase (even if that was sensible or possible).
I would be interested if ANYONE knows of ANY party that has publically stated that it would be favorable to us small guys...... Read More

General Election 8th June - Who on earth do landlords vote for?

Like you, Tobias, we are small, only 7 properties, Ann has written to her Tory MP and sought support, I think the other parties will attack us even more (wake up everyone), and yes Dr Beck they may be making promises because the election is just round the corner, but announcing withdrawal of section 24 now would harm their chances of winning , no other party would withdraw it.
The only answer, I believe, is to flood the MPs with the threat that they have limited time (months) to see sense once they are in. Otherwise we leave them in droves.
This IS NOT levelling the playing field, it helps corporate LLs.
We are responsable citizens and need a strong BREXIT for everyone.... Read More

No David, I wouldn't rely on a polititans promise, but at least it would give them our clear intention to leave them in droves if they don't do something. No other party will help us !... Read More
