Fair Rents (Scotland) Bill or Artificial state manipulation of free market rent?

Unfortunately I don't think the threat of landlords exiting the market will worry the government. I have believed for quite some time that this is their absolute intention. Tenants fallen out and neither will leave?

Some great advice above.
Also point out that you will have to inform the council that she was behind/not paying her rent (if this is the case), and this will be classified as making herself intentionally homeless. Councils generally will use every possible reason not to house people, especially where there are no children involved. Non payment of rent will count against her.... Read More

Don't they just! As well as leaving their tenants to live in damp filled, dilapidated and often dangerous properties.
The new homes for habitation act (think that's what it's called) which will also apply to Housing Associations will see a flood of legal actions (replacing PPI scandal for many No Win No Fee solicitors waiting in the wings). Heaven help any private owners of these properties as they will be the ones forced to subsidise.... Read More
