General Election 8th June - Who on earth do landlords vote for?

Wonder where you are Cautious landlord. My student granddaughter pays £100 a week for a minuscule single room, shared house of 5 and has to pay all through the summer, i.e. 52 weeks a year. this is Durham not exactly London prices. The other one is in Oxford, I dare not ask her what she pays. Luckily she is from the family that can afford it but the one in Durham struggles. Thank goodness for grand parents.... Read More

General Election 8th June - Who on earth do landlords vote for?

Vote for UKIP but they will never get in, it is an impossibility so whatever they promise it won't happen, Then you may have to live with the wrong party getting in. Labour and Lib.Dem. are not landlord friendly parties. Lobby the tories that is the best bet. And if nobody does anything for us, we will still be better off with the Cons. in other areas of our lives, for the moment anyway.... Read More

If the do not vote tory campaign some here are advocating were to succeed. I really dread living with the consequences. A labour government, a coalition government, nightmare. Campaign against section 24, yes, but persuading, tenants etc not to vote tory is a very big gamble, if the wrong government was formed I am sure not just landlords would live to regret it.... If "we" put up a candidate in any given area, if only landlords in that area voted for the candidate they would have no chance of getting in. I am assuming there is no area with thousands and thousands of landlords.... Read More
