Landlord Action receives first court adjournment due to Coronavirus

Is anyone ot worried about this ...

So to defer mortgage payments because tenants now think its 'rent free', we need a court order ?

Tenants refusing access - help with Section 21

Totally get professional advice.

As for your friends (and anyone/everyone who is in property) - they should learn how to manage tenancies correctly including requirements for moving in, and legals for eviction etc.

I'm always amazed at how little landlords know - go on a course and get trained up.

I've done the NLA course many times - and i'm due to go again in the next 6 months to make sure I'm up to date too.

ARLA confirms landlords 'rough ride' is being passed on to tenants

We keep on telling the government whats going on - but it falls on death ears.

They obviously know better with all that experience of the housing market they must have.

Unfortunately, the losers here will be the tenants again.

Housing Benefit – That old chestnut

Why would anyone accept housing benefit when all the council are trying to do is get away without paying, or paying as little as possible.

Just wait until UC comes in - a giant mess is what it's going to be.

I'll never understand why the governments (and thus the councils) always try to make people lives harder, instead of easier.

Labour commits to introducing rent controls

I'd like to see the nuts and bolts as to how this would actually work in reality.

I'm not opposed to rent controls per se - just depends on how they are implemented.

They need a balance between rent controls and driving yet more landlords out of the sector.... Read More
