The tenant is moving out on the day that the tenancy agreement finishes,but he has only given me one weeks notice,am i entitled to any more notice as this is only giving me a week to find a new tenant.He originally had a 6 months agreement then at the end of that signed a 12 month agreement.... In reference to my previous question regarding the notice period from my tenant.I previously stated that it was a fixed contract period and now I am not sure. I have looked at the tenancy agreement and it is an assured shorthold tenancy for a twelve month period,does your previous comment still apply.The tenant has been in the property for eighteen months.... Ex tenant problems

Have a 12 month fixed tenancy agreement until end of August 2013 with my tenant. He has only given me a weeks  notice to leave saying he doesnt need to give a months notice as it is a fixed periodic agreement.  Is he required to give me a months notice?
