The Government, and a large section of the public, believe this is a good thing. In their heads by forcing landlords out everyone will be buying instead of renting. Unintended consequences…
I suspect a lot of these people also find going to work or looking after their own children is bad for their mental health. Also depends how the question is phrased, Is renting bad for your health?Yes (thinks I might...
In business with friends or family I would agree at the outset what you are going to do if one, or more, of you want out, or if you’re paying finance what to do if one of you is made...
Imagine a world where Shelter actually used their massive income to help instead of hounding landlords out of the business. I put a hefty bet that people who donate to this sham charity believe they provide housing or (er) shelter.
Until the great and the good realise that private landlords are part of the answer, not the enemy, it's only going one way. And, of course, the 'I' word.
Good that Shelter always know who else should solve the problems, partly of their own making, while tenaciously protecting their £60 million (plus) annual income.
I suspect if LL provided free food to Mr Looney he'd want legislation that it should be cooked fir him, and if someone wiped his backside he'd want softer tissue.

Government policy to force small landlords to sell. It’s working. Now it’s the landlords fault.

Government policy is to force landlords out of the business, it’s working, so it’s the landlords to blame. Plus the 'I' word. Massive imigration.
