Property118 started off as a post retirement blogging hobby. We had taken our former business (a commercial finance brokerage) from being a bedroom based business startup in 1990 to ranking #38 in The Times Profit Track 100 by 2008. We retired from broking a year after that.
Property118 was born in January 2011 and within six months became one of the very few UK based property publishers to be appointed by Google News.
Nearly 200,000 UK landlords and associated property professionals subscribe to Property118.com.
Content is primarily Q&A from landlords, tenants and letting agents who enjoy sharing their tales of woe, practical experience and best practice. Members have formed a somewhat unique online community support group and readers questions are often answered on a pro-bono basis by professional advisers.
The website is funded by donations from members and business sponsors which have an affinity with our readers. We rarely allow traditional advertising or for contact details to be posted in articles or comments but we do create contact forms for sponsors and these can be found in their member profiles, which are linked to all comments, or immediately below information based articles they share with members. Therefore, if you ever want want to get in touch with them for more information you can.
We NEVER share your contact details unless you specifically request us to do do, e.g. by emailing us, posting a comment to that effect or by completing a contact form to request more information from one of our suppliers.
