I am married and my wife is 7 months pregnant, we are desperately looking for a two bedroom flat or a two bedroom house in the Middlesex area or Berkshire are around the Langley possible, cant be very choosy I understand but I would really appreciate if you can help us, we both are on benefits and our housing benefit has been approved, we are a very clean couple and also keep any property we have lived till date very clean which we can prove, we do come from very good back round families but due to personal reasons we are having to go through this phase in life where we are both unemployed and are experiencing financial difficulties, I would be most grateful if you can help me in this matter asap as the baby is due in the first week of November and ideally I want to move into a nice clean property within the next month or so well before the baby arrives so all the requirements from my wife's side are met with and can be stress free, my mobile telephone number is 07721440920.
Many Thanks

I'm afraid like many of the populace on benefit; you have unrealistic expectations of what you may source for accommodation if in receipt of benefit.
You may be the GREATEST benefit tenants since sliced bread........................................it matters NOT a jo!.
If however you could pass a RGI check or you could source a guarantor that would pass a RGI check then any LL willing to let at the rate you could afford would 'bite your arm off!'
Some LL will accept a home owning guarantor without RGI on them..............................I wouldn't!
You will struggle to source any property in the area you wish to be.
So you know what; you will have to look further afield to source property that you could afford.
There are probably many properties available at a price that you could afford but these LL won't let to HB tenants.
There are many reasons why this is the case.
Basically the law is stacked against the LL if he wishes to evict in the event of rent non-payment.
So it is not your fault; it is the system which conspires against the LL.
You just need to put in the price you can afford on rightmove or dssmove and see what is available.
Then you move to where you can afford.
Just like anyone else who isn't on benefit and has to move if they can't afford where they want to be.
Welcome to the real world!!
I would suggest that you may have helpful family who would be in a position to assist and persuade a LL to take you on.
Remember that if they do; any 'assistance' given by them CANNOT be given to you; to then pass onto the LL, as it would be considered income by the council and DWP and you would have your benefit reduced.
There is NOTHING WRONG if the 'assistance' comes from a 3rd party which facilitates FULL rent payment.
So 'assistance' payments MUST be paid directly to the LL.
You will struggle to source anywhere affordable in the areas you are looking; you will have to look at moving further North or to Wales; the cheaper parts of the country.
You will just have to accept that your 'lifestyle' will have to change due to reduced economic circumstances.
It is unfortunate; but this country is broke and CANNOT afford the benefit 'lifestyles' which up till now have been paid for by govt.
Therefore with less money you will have to MOVE to cheaper areas.
Govt are obliged to pay for housing costs; not for where you wish to be, but for what can be afforded.
