Scottish Association of LandlordsFollowing a recent board meeting, Scottish Association of Landlords “SAL” directors are pleased to announce they intend to launch a letting agent division in the Spring of 2013. The new Letting Agents Division will focus on campaigning for and supporting letting agents in Scotland.

SAL’s existing letting agent members are encouraged to note interest with the policy team if they wish to become involved in the development of this exciting new venture by emailing policy@scottishlandlords.com

SAL director John Blackwood commented “Given the impending changes in legislation affecting letting agents we now, more than ever need to work together as a united force in lobbying the Scottish Government. Policy makers need to recognise that many letting agents offer excellent customer service and play a major role in Scotland’s private rented sector. This new division will highlight existing good practice in the sector and help raise the profile of the letting agent sector as whole.”

Yesterday the Scottish Association of Landlords and Landlord Accreditation Scotland hosted a joint letting agent conference in Glasgow. At the event over 120 letting agent delegates were first to hear this exciting news, with many immediately pledging their support to this exciting initiative.
