I recently asked my Twitter followers to pose questions for me to answer in my daily video blogs which you can subscribe to free of charge at You Tube. My You Tube channel is called Landlords Log.

Twitter follower @jonathanhorswell, an existing landlord, came back to me with a question asking “should I be adding to my buy to let portfolio or are house prices going to fall further?”

What advice would you give to Jonathan?

Do you agree with the advice I’ve provided in this video?

I agree with all your statements on this video Mark, I cannot see a negative outcome from buying investment properties at the moment. The demand for rental accomodation is huge, house prices are not fluctuating erratically and lets not forget the competition in the mortgage market. Accord Mortgages have now launched buy-to-let proposition and providers such as Northern Rock, Platform, Kensington and Aldermore are now competing with the likes of TMW and Birmingham Midshires.

Keep up the good work!

We seem to have a very angry person commenting on YouTube. I wonder why this anger is being aimed at landlords? I understand why people are frustrated and angry but it would be more productive if that anger was used as energy to find solutions rather than distribute blame.
